I designed and developed an event microsite for the CITGO MDA Golf Tournament, creating a focused digital destination for event information, sponsorship opportunities, registration details, and the mission behind the fundraiser.

The microsite brought the CITGO and Muscular Dystrophy Association brands together within one cohesive experience while helping participants, sponsors, and supporters quickly understand the event and how they could get involved.

01 · The Challenge

Turning event information into a clear digital experience

The golf tournament needed a dedicated online presence that could communicate its charitable purpose while also presenting practical event details. Visitors needed to find information about participation, sponsorship, scheduling, location, and registration without navigating through a larger corporate website.

The experience also needed to balance two established organizations. CITGO’s corporate identity had to remain prominent while respecting the mission and visual presence of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

02 · The Approach

Creating a focused path from awareness to participation

I organized the microsite around the questions visitors were most likely to have. The content hierarchy introduced the event and its purpose before guiding visitors toward registration, sponsorship information, schedules, and other essential details.

Strong visual sections, concise messaging, prominent calls to action, and consistent navigation helped make the experience easy to scan. The design also used recognizable brand elements to connect the fundraiser with both CITGO and MDA.

03 · The Solution

An event microsite built around action

The completed microsite gave the tournament a dedicated platform that could support event promotion and participant communication. Important information was separated into clear sections so visitors could move directly toward the action that mattered to them.

Responsive layouts allowed the content to remain accessible across desktop, tablet, and mobile screens. This was especially important for an event audience that might access registration details, schedules, or location information while away from a desktop computer.

04 · My Contribution

Combining campaign design with front end execution

My contribution included the visual direction, interface design, content organization, responsive layout, and front end development of the microsite. I worked to make every element support the event rather than compete with it.

The result brought corporate communication, charitable purpose, and event participation into one unified digital experience.

05 · The Result

A cohesive destination for an important cause

The microsite provided the CITGO MDA Golf Tournament with a clear and professional digital presence. Participants and sponsors could learn about the event, understand its connection to MDA, and find the information needed to take part.

The project demonstrates how a focused microsite can simplify event communication while giving a campaign its own memorable identity.
