I contributed to the ongoing development of DePaul University’s main website and program microsites, helping transition them into a modern SharePoint framework.
I partnered with multiple departments to migrate content, streamline site architecture, and enhance usability across the university’s digital ecosystem. The work required balancing institutional consistency with the individual communication needs of different schools, programs, and departments.
01 · The Challenge
Modernizing a large university website ecosystem
DePaul University’s digital presence included its primary website and numerous program microsites serving prospective students, current students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the broader university community.
Moving this extensive collection of content into a SharePoint framework required careful planning and coordination. Information needed to remain accurate and accessible while the underlying structure evolved into a more organized and maintainable system.
02 · The Approach
Building structure through collaboration
I worked with teams and departments across the university to understand their content, identify priorities, and prepare pages for migration into the new framework.
The process involved reviewing existing information, refining page hierarchy, organizing content around user needs, and applying consistent layouts across the main website and supporting microsites.
03 · The Solution
A more consistent and manageable framework
The SharePoint framework provided a more unified foundation for managing DePaul University’s online content. Reusable structures and consistent presentation patterns helped connect different areas of the university while allowing departments to communicate their individual programs and services.
Streamlined navigation and clearer content organization also made it easier for visitors to locate information and move between related areas of the university’s digital environment.

My contribution included ongoing website development, SharePoint implementation, content migration, information organization, and collaboration with university stakeholders.
I helped translate departmental requirements into practical digital experiences while maintaining consistency with the university’s broader standards. This required both technical execution and clear communication across teams with different priorities and audiences.
